This place is awesome and they have every part of the experience down. Amazing beer, and other drinks for non-beer drinkers, as well as a super awesome food menu with real fish tacos and something for everyone. Reliable, and fast. We love this place!
This seems to be the most popular craft brewery in the area and its proven to be so! The beers here are pretty good and the pricing is extremely fair, especially compared to the rest of the breweries I went to over the week. Its a pretty classic brewery setup which isn't as creative as some of the others, but it makes due! The Pearl Snap is still king there. The service was also decently good with friendly bartenders. The positive and negative of this place is that it seems too "normal" for Austin. Its an ol reliable. You kind of know what you are going to get!
This is a great spot in north-central Austin to meet up with friends for an after-work beer. Generally plenty of parking around and on the street and it's not usually hard to get a seat. Good variety of brews, though with a couple noticeable absences when I was last there (e.g. a sour on tap). Picnic tables, pints, you basically know the drill. An unfussy place for a drink!
Steve and I recently had a collaboration beer that Austin Beerworks did with Lucky Envelope Brewing for what looked to be for the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon. Power & Elegance is the name of the beer that we had and it is a Japanese Rice Lager. It was excellent and I gave it very high marks on Untappd. Flavor features to find with this wonderful lager are grainy, sweet (a natural kind of sweetness) and tea. The beer is extremely light bodied which Steve and I often appreciate greatly as we more often than not prefer light beers.
Great new location in East Austin. Plenty of parking, helpful and friendly staff and good craft beer. Disc golf course, great playscape for the kids, board games, private rooms, family room, popsicles and ice cream for the kids. Food truck is pretty good, but would love some more basic (non- spicy) options like burgers and fried chicken filets. Great place to hang out.
I'm not sure if this place is udually crowded since I came her by mistake. I was trying to go and meet friends for the Lunar New Year. When I arrived, there was a sign posted outside stating the event was being held at the other brewery, which was 15 to 20 minutes away. Since I was hungry and would be late for the event, I stayed here. The food is served from a food truck outside. The menu is limited, but I'm sure you can find something on it to satisfy your hunger. I had a cobb salad with chicken breast. It was crisp and pretty good. I ordered a beer called Surprise Surprise. The beer was nice and complimented the salad. The beer menu may be larger than the food menu. Many choices to select. The brewery has both indoor and outdoor seating. It is fairly large with long tables and benches to be shared by many guests. There is parking in front and across the road. It is located close to Burnet Road nestled between many industrial buildings. The next time you want a beer, then stop by and order a homemade brew at Austin Beerworks! You might, just like it!
Excellent beer; however, I am a stout connoisseur and Austin Beerworks did not come through for that. BUT. Overall, the atmosphere is friendly, vibrant, and super welcoming! I enjoy dropping in after a hike, or long bike ride and or after a day at the office!
So, I have to start with saying, that I've been an Austin resident for over 30 years, so I am honestly partial to anything Austin, that is good. But it still needs to stand up to the standards of my Yelp reviews. That being said, I am a big fan of Austin Beerworks' Goldfist. I honestly haven't tried their other beers, as they are not what I am in to. I love a good Belgium Ale, and especially if a domestic brewery can match the standards of Belgium brewing. Austin Beerworks Goldfist does just that. It reminds me of a much lighter version of my favorite Belgium produced Ale, Cuvée De Koninck, from De Koninck Brewery. It is much lighter, not double fermented, but still drinkable with hints of honey, clover, and burnt orange. And for the price of ten dollars a six pack at the local Central Market, how can you go wrong? The only problem I have with this beer, and why it only gets 4 stars, is because it is seasonal, and only available Jan-Feb. BAH! Time to stock up.
